What is your life's purpose?
Shannon Shine here, popping in to light up your life with some sparkles & shine today.
I've been working with some clients & friends through some breakthroughs this week.
It feels like so many people are coming through the portals of a "leveling up" of sorts.
Some are going full force into another round of awakening & many are asking the universe "what is my purpose?!"
Well, that's quite a question, & let’s be honest, it is one that can send anyone down an existential spiral....
Working with people, I often like to start at the root and build from there. Because the root chakra is powerful and where you will most often begin to lose your grounding.
So my question for those in existential limbo right now isn't.... what is your purpose or passions? But instead, the question is...
☆What is your biggest fear?☆
When we take a moment to ask ourselves this, it can trigger a deeper dive into who we are & what we want out of life.
People used to ask me why I do what I do.
Well, I simply used to say because I like making art & helping people.
But it's deeper than that.
So what is my fear of life?
My biggest fear is living a life without feeling seen or inspired.
Why is this a fear?
Well, both of my parents died before they reached 40 & neither got to really enjoy life or follow their dreams, nor did they leave much behind other than my brother & I.
So for me...my fear is to not live a life I love & to disappear without leaving much of a trace.
So then what is my purpose?
Or rather, shall I say, my mission?
It's to live a life that inspires others to follow their dreams & passions too!
My purpose is & has been to find ways to enjoy life and leave a mark (or in my case, a mark of a few hundred paintings, nearly a thousand pieces of jewelry, a couple of books and courses, and a whole lot of love & shared words with those who need the love and support.)
In doing so, I found ways to turn my passions into ways to hopefully continue supporting myself & my future family.
I didn't just stumble into my purpose by screaming and praying to God for an answer. But I instead found it through meditation and deeply sitting with some deep questions.
I did spend a lot of time screaming at the universe first, don't get me wrong. That's usually a first step. Then talking with others and integrating their thoughts was helpful.
But in the end, it was asking myself questions or rather having a spiritual guide of sorts ask me to sit with some intense questions in meditation.
Where do I find happiness?
Well, I find deep JOY in my soul sessions with others where I get to help dive into what their soul needs most.
How does one find their purpose?
Well, from that joy space, I FIND purpose in holding that space for others who need someone as they are also leveling up in this game of life.
Sometimes it's not even by talking to them but instead just living my own life and sharing and leading by inspiring examples.
Just as I also find purpose with a paintbrush in my hand, and a pile of gems that will soon be jewels.
Each person's journey is different. But Sky Daddy isn't here to lay out your purpose for you. Your mom and dad can't make choices for you, and honestly, neither can I.
BUT I can hold space for you to reflect and ask you some of the tough questions and break them down into digestible bits that could help you tap into your purpose, or mission for being here right now.
So, If you would like to schedule a session, just send me a message.
(Or email me at Contact.ShannonShine@gmail.com.)
My schedule is limited, as my time here on Earth is valuable to me, but I also do my best to accommodate or offer tools I've created for myself and others when these existential moments of "who am I, and why am I even here anymore?" start to pop up.
